ROLE OF ASSOCIATION
The role of the Association is to represent as a forum for the Bhutanese construction industry and
address problems and policy issues at national, regional and international level for the development
and promotion of the construction industry.
REPRESENTATION
The Association represents the Bhutanese Private Construction Industry for addressing specific problems
& policy issues at National, Regional and International level for development and promotion. At
national level President of CAB is a Member in the Construction Development Board (CDB) and Private
Sector Development Committee (PSDC). At regional level, CAB is a Member in the SAARC Construction Industry
Council (SAARC-CIC) represented by the President and the General Secretary.
OBJECTIVES
The broad policy objectives of the Association are:

Represent the Bhutanese private construction sector as a collective voice both within
and outside the kingdom;

Address policy issues and problems related to the construction sector

Pursue developmental plans & programs for the construction sector and act as a bridge between
the government and the private construction sector

Facilitate attainment of professionalism in the private construction sector through timely intervention by advocating
need-based assessment, identifying problems & sourcing assistance and
-
Promote Bhutanese private construction industry through participatory and consultative role for business development,
training, dissemination of information and acquisition/transfer of technology.
