The 52^nd Meeting of Construction Development Board held on the 14^th September 2009 has enhanced the Allowable Range of Contract Cost as follows with immediate effect:

1. Class A - The allowable range starts from Nu. 19.0 million with no upper ceiling. They are allowed to undertake five works at a time as before subject to meeting the bid capacity criteria.
2. Class B - Above Nu. 9.0 - upto 19.0 million and allowed to take up four works at a time subject to meeting the bid capacity criteria.
3. Class C - Above Nu. 2.0 upto 9.0 million with three works allowed to be undertaken at a time subject to meeting the bid capacity criteria.
4. Class D - Upto Nu. 2.0 million with no change in the number of works. (i.e only one work is allowed to take up at a time)
